Victim’s Rights/Assistance/Support
Depending on the unique circumstances of your case, as a victim, you may be entitled to certain rights, assistance and protections including: Confidentiality of personal information, Protection, Financial Assistance, Notice of Court Hearings and Courtroom Assistance during your case, Input during the Trial Process and other Post Trial Assistance and Notices. Employers may not take adverse action against employees attending Court who are the victims of crimes per Virginia Code 40.1-28.7:2.
